Colloidal synthesis approach for energy materials

Abstract: Colloidal route is one of the favored ways toward cost-effective large-scale production of various nanostructures. In our study, different types of nanostructures have been designed and synthesized via colloidal approach, which can be applied for energy storage and other energy-type applications. For example, complex hybrid carbon nanostructures have been synthesized using colloidal polymeric particle as soft template, which have been applied as electrode materials for various supercapacitor and battery systems. Moreover, her group has also strong experience on using cryo-TEM for characterizing sensitive electrochemical materials and interfaces, e.g., Li metal and SEI.
